My Alabaster Box

AMEN! GLORY TO GOD!!

It’s a #WonderfulWednesday!!! I woke up (bless God) to my mind racing a mile a minute! With the #RiseUp conference a month away; another book (InHERitance by Sherilee Mandi) to be released in June; and many events happening along the way, I just laid still, trying to #focus (Fix Our Cerebrum Upon the Savior).

God knew I needed to read today’s #OurDailyBread… “She Did What She Could” by Elisa Morgan, which would lead me to this ‘theme’ song, “Alabaster Box” by CeCe Winans.

Can I tell you, ‘God knows what you need before you need it’? GLORY BE TO GOD!!”

And though she spoke no words, everything she said was heard!!! {That part!!}

I needed to be reminded why I praise Him so…

“You weren’t there” (the Sunday morning He called me on my way to Tangelo Baptist).

“You did not feel what I felt when He wrapped His loving arms around me”! YES LORD!

“You don’t know the cost of the oil in my #AlabasterBox!”

When God does it, He does it well. (As I wrote these words, Holy Spirit told me to put the Scripture for the event. Little did I know that the actual word “crown” was included in the New Living Translation)!!

“To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.” – Isaiah 61:3 (NLT)

My God is awesome!!

Jesus Gives, ASK!

Greetings everyone,

It’s been a while since I wrote a Blog, so here I am, sharing a testimony on the goodness of God!

On Tuesday, I had a presentation for my nonprofit organization that seems like a great opportunity, BUT, in all the things, I’ve learned to wait on God to confirm.

So last night, I did my due diligence: researching the company; thoroughly reading the reviews; and replaying the presentation in my email.

It all sounds great, but I needed the Lord to direct me on how to proceed. I wrote in my journal, Lord, please confirm ________. Waiting for the “Green Light” (Only if God says yes–Yolanda Adams.)

So I went to bed and woke up early this morning, just in time for my devotion. As I was praying, I heard, “It’s a new level” (Sinach).

After playing the song, I said, “OK Lord, it’s a new level, but what’s the Word? [Note: My spiritual father, Dr. Frank S. Smith, instilled in me years that in anything I do, ask God for a Word.]

When I established FarMor Publishing in 2004, God gave me Hebrews 11:1 (Now faith…)

When it evolved into a corporation in 2009, FarMor Group Inc. (FGI: formed in God’s image), …Genesis 1:26

When He blessed me with a nonprofit, FarMor Entertainment, in 2009…Romans 8:28

When writing my 2nd book, Living Testimonies 2, …Job 23:10

The list goes on….

So, LORD, Father God, Holy Spirit, what is the Word that goes with “It’s a new level”?

Immediately, I heard “run with it“!

Huh? Run with it? OK, I Googled “run with it scripture” and it came up with the one that says run with endurance the race….

I knew that wasn’t it. In the back of my mind, I heard Habakkuk. So I searched “write the vision scripture” and selected the Biblehub link.

The first entry was the NIV version, which reads:

Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.”

Bless the Father!! God is good! The Bible says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

Then I remembered the plane that wrote these words in the sky a few weeks ago: JESUS GIVES ASK

The Bible tells us in James 1:5 (AMP)

If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.

I thank God that He is a ‘Good Good Father.’

We shall call upon Him and He will answer, and show us great and mighty things, which we do not know. – Jeremiah 33:34

Glory be to God!!!!

Great Are You LORD!

Greetings everyone,

It’s a Thankful Thursday, and I would be remiss (or better yet, disobedient) if I did not share what the LORD laid on my heart today.

As I was driving early this morning (which is unusual for me), I heard these words, “Great are You LORD” (“Great are You LORD”). I continued to repeat the melody I was hearing in my head until I arrived home. Then I grabbed my phone and pulled up the lyrics on YouTube.

Sure enough, the search took me to several videos, but this was the one for me. I quickly found myself on my knees, praying and worshipping the Father (“maker of all the universe”) with a grateful heart, “proclaiming LORD You reign!”

After the song finished, I asked Holy Spirit for the Scripture to those words and immediately, I was taken to Psalm 48:1, Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. (AMEN)

I continued to read the entire Psalm from the King James Version before turning to the New Living Translation.

1 How great is the Lord,
    how deserving of praise,
in the city of our God,
    which sits on his holy mountain!

9 O God, we meditate on your unfailing love
    as we worship in your Temple.
10 As your name deserves, O God,
    you will be praised to the ends of the earth.
    Your strong right hand is filled with victory.

Then as I continued to search for Scriptures, I was taken to Psalm 145

A psalm of praise of David.

1 I will exalt you, my God and King,
    and praise your name forever and ever.
2 I will praise you every day;
    yes, I will praise you forever.
3 Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!
    No one can measure his greatness.

4 Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts;
    let them proclaim your power.
5 I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor
    and your wonderful miracles.
6 Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue;
    I will proclaim your greatness.
7 Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness;
    they will sing with joy about your righteousness.

THANK YOU FATHER GOD, GOD ALMIGHTY! I lift my hands in total adoration of Your goodness and mercy!!

Take Time to REST

Greetings everyone,

It’s a Marvelous Monday, and I am excited to be on SPRING BREAK!! (Yes LORD! Thank You JESUS!)

Years ago (well decades ago) after saying YES to to the LORD in 2002 and stepping out by faith to write a book, which then led me to start my own publishing company (BUT GOD!), He taught me “balance!”

As a business owner (inspiring entrepreneur), I found myself working longer and harder trying to manage a company (that I had NO plans of starting). At the time I established FarMor Publishing in October 2004, I had three children (ages 7, 4, 1 month).

Years in…after self-publishing by first book the following year, releasing two more books by different authors a couple years later; launching a newsletter (the beginning of ministry); plus networking & promoting; and then speaking, I found myself working around the clock.

Then my heavenly Father reminded me NOT to forget the three children He blessed me with…who were all in school).

So the OCPS (Orange County Public School) calendar became my guide to map out when my “offices” would be closed (since I was now running a corporation and recording & production had been added to the mix). Be it MLK, Spring Break, Thanksgiving and especially Christmas Break, if my children were home, FarMor was closed!

This company benefit allowed me to spend quality time with my family, making our memories (as a wise woman told me when I started writing Living Testimonies in 2002!

Now, decades later, my first two (ages 24 & 20) are out of state while the youngest (16) is still with me!! I woke up Sunday morning (thanking God for this time of REST) to find Tyler’s SPRING BREAK agenda, which includes Aquatica, Disney, Universal, etc. (Help me LORD!)

Even though my son’s “chest is a little high” (LOL), at least I can afford the BEACH, Dave & Busters and Game Night!! 😂
